About Me

Business Growth Strategist & Content Alchemist

My Story

How long have you been doing what you do, and what led you to become a Business Growth Strategist and Content Alchemist?

I think the best way to answer this is to share with you a nagging question and a resulting “compelling story”, that brought me to where I am today – coaching people like you on exactly what to do to make more money without selling out or burning out.

I've had several jobs and different business models over the years. No matter what work I was doing, here's the question that would not leave me alone:

Why should the people with the most compassion, conviction, character and the ability to make the most impact make less money???

Tai Goodwin Business Growth Strategist

This is what I hated about teaching. It's what I hated about AmeriCorps. It's what I hate about our culture.

I poured my heart into teaching. 40 hour weeks were the exception. Almost every week was a 50 - 60 hour week. I loved teaching, loved seeing my students light up.

What I didn't love: Twenty minute lunches, never getting to leave the building, all the prep work required if did want to take a day off, having to teach to tests, earning the same amount as teachers who did the least, having to put up with students that did the most and parents that were apathetic, paying out of my own pocket for supplies, being criticized by other teachers who were just there for the paycheck and free summers, and having to pass kids to 6th grade even if they could barely write and read at a 3rd grade level...

And the pay SUCKED!

When I worked in corporate America, I loved the paycheck, but hated that I was helping big companies get bigger - no matter how much they overworked or exploited their employees.

You could work for them for 10, 15, 0r 20 years and they could fire you - AT WILL. Or demote you, or demand relocation. Regardless of your skill, talent, and work ethic, they controlled your earning potential.

Most jobs require that you stay in your box, go with the flow, and give more than you get - it's rare that you ever get to bring your full authentic self into your work.

Was I good at what I did? I was absolutely amazing! But I couldn't get excited about helping big companies make themselves richer, while exploiting their employees.

It made me angry to know that I was helping them make huge profits so they can give huge payouts to executives while tightening the belt on employee salaries and benefits. They take your talent, time, energy, and in some cases your soul and use it for their benefit. In return they give you a paycheck that’s a fraction of the value you provide.

But what if...

What if I could use my super powers for good! What if I could help heart-centered entrepreneurs with a amazing visions, commitment to growth, and willingness to take action make more money? Why? Because I know that it will go to something good, it will be used to sow into people, projects, and movements.

This is what gets me excited!!! I love when I get to go in and create a strategy that equips and empowers my clients to make more money - and to do it without working more hours!

This meant letting go of beliefs and habits that stemmed from thinking that making more money only came from working harder. I decided I would no longer settle for what I could get by with. Instead I set non-negotiable intentions to live from a place of abundance. It also meant choosing to stop making decisions out of fear and begin to choose with confidence that everything I need will show up.

No more peddling services. No more playing small. And no more lowballing my rates to make other people feel comfortable.

And finally, it meant designing my business based on a simple yet life changing principal: Profit more. Work less.

I started my business because I wanted to be in control of how much I could make and how I spent my time. If I wanted to work 60-hours a week and have limited income I would have stayed working a salaried day-job

I knew there were other women like me. They became their own boss to have more freedom and flexibility to live the life that aligned with their truest self. Yet they were trapped in the same maze I had found my way out of.

This helped me get much needed clarity in my work, brand and mission. I began teaching women how to grow their business in a way that aligned with their values and supported the lifestyle they truly desired. As I showed them how to tap into their authentic brilliance, I watched their confidence increase, their passion expand and their profits skyrocket!

I chose to dedicate the rest of my professional life to helping other women business owners profit more and work less so they don’t sacrifice their family, life, and joy so they can have a truly bankable business.

Since then, I’ve worked with many private clients and groups, and  spoken in front of countless groups: I lived my dream of ditching my 9 to 5 so I could have more control over my time, how much money I made, and the work I got to do. And I created Rev Up Your Revenue™ a series of 7 steps that every coach, consultant, healer, and spiritual entrepreneur needs to increase their impact and income without adding more hours to their work day.
